Opened in 2013, the Fisher House facility at the South Texas Veterans Health Care System (STVCHS) has provided quality care and convenient arrangements for families as their loved ones undergo treatment at the Audie Muphy VA Hospital across the street.
The STVHCS Fisher House uniquely provides accommodations to families visiting severely injured veterans and service members who are hospitalized at the San Antonio VA Polytrauma Center. The San Antonio VA Polytrauma Center is one of 5 locations in the country that provides state of the are rehab care to veterans and service members that have sustained multiple traumatic injuries, specifically severe Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI).
